CLARK offers personalized tours that are specifically adapted to students and groups from all walks of life. We welcome elementary and secondary school classes, as well as adult groups (college, university and community groups). Guided by a trained cultural mediator, participants will learn about our exhibitions, the associative structure of an artist-run centre and the inner-workings of our woodshop, all in an effort to demystify the nature of current artistic practices. These participatory tours are sometimes accompanied by our exhibiting artists, and the length of each visit varies based on the needs of the group. For younger audiences, we have educational tools that help make our exhibitions and the themes they address more accessible.
Our educational approach is fully integrated in our overall mission, and facilitates the discovery of alternative and innovative artistic practices. While remaining sensitive to the needs and interests of our group visitors, we favour a participatory approach that includes questioning, discussion, individual opinion and debate.
Groups tours are always free.
Participants are encouraged to book their visit at least one week before the desired date.
