Each year, CLARK offers several family activities for free. We recognize the importance of being a welcoming space for kids and to provide activities that correspond to their interests.Since 2015, CLARK and the Bibliothèque Mordecai-Richler have come together to offer family activities with a focus on contemporary art that are adapted for small children.

Story Time
L’Heure du conte (Story Time) invites you to a playful exploration of Centre CLARK’s exhibitions through children’s literature. For each exhibition, a series of books are specially selected by the children’s librarian at the Bibliothèque Mordecai-Richler. The books are chosen in relation to their formal or thematic links to the art works on view at the gallery. These experiences are complemented by readings and games, so that young and old can discover the art works on view, CLARK’s gallery spaces, and even our famous cabin! Refreshments will be available during the activity.

Activities are offered at Centre CLARK
For children aged 5 to 8, accompanied by an adult

Free admission

Creative Workshops
Our Ateliers Créatifs (creative workshops) are an opportunity to participate in a workshop conceived and led by a contemporary artist, which explore a diverse range of approaches and mediums: collage, drawing, sculpture, video, group creations, etc. These activities are inspired by the library’s collection of illustrated books to highlight the links between books and visual art. Each workshop is unique!

Workshops are offered at the Bibliothèque Mordecai-Richler
