PERFORMANCE BY MARIE BRASSARD
in collaboration with Alexander MacSween

Spend some time with Marie Brassard! During her performance, Marie will explore the pleasures of gastronomy and memory-making while sharing stories on the art of cooking and eating. She’ll address the sensorial pleasures these activities generate in our minds by drawing links to life’s most cherished moments.

Marie Brassard is an author, director, and actor. In 2001, after working in close collaboration with Robert Lepage for fifteen years in theatre and film, she created her first solo show, Jimmy, créature de rêve, as part of the Festival TransAmériques. The success of this work prompted her to start her own production company, Infrarouge, for which she works as artistic director, and to begin her solo career. Since then, in collaboration with visual artists and musicians, she has created surreal shows in which video, light, and sound play an important role.

A link to her performance, as well as instructions on how to join the live conversation afterwards, will be given to you with your meal.

DINNER BY ETNA

For Maison Modèle, Etna has come up with a special menu of tapas, a main dish, and a dessert, with vegetarian and gluten-free options.
Available for pick-up or delivery.

Etna offers fresh and rustic Mediterranean bites, as well as a privately imported natural wine selection. It draws both on the heritage of its owners, and love of Italian antipasti and Andalusian tapas.

Claudia Fancello and Sergio Conde both grew up in the restaurant world; she in an Italian one in Vancouver, and he in Malaga, Andalusia. Later on, Claudia embarked on a career in dance and performance (PME-ART), while Sergio worked as a photographer and interior designer. Both long-time Montrealers, they opened Etna in the neighborhood of Villeray in November 2019 as an homage to the Mediterranean neighborhood aperitif bar.

PRESALE OF WORKS

Ticket holders will have VIP access to the virtual exhibition Maison Modèle III: House of Heartbreak, as well as the online catalogue and links to buy the works.

A link to the exhibition will be sent to you 48 hours before the VIP event.

CHARITABLE RECEIPT

Your VIP contribution will support our community of artists and a local, independent restaurant, and will be recognized by an official donation receipt for a value $30 for one and $50 for two.

ABOUT MAISON MODÈLE III: House of heartbreak

Maison Modèle is CLARK's annual fundraising exhibition. Supported this year by Ubisoft, this third edition will inhabit the virtual by presenting a gallery of images to be viewed as windows into a landscape of potential and love. This online edition brings together the work of 29 artists, each one intimately considered and gesturally embellished by Frances Adair McKenzie and Nadège Grebmeier Forget. We hope you will consider acquiring one or more pieces for your living space IRL (in real life).

Stay tuned! The list of participating artists will be revealed on February 25!
