Esteban Pérez

Born in Quito (Ecuador), Esteban Pérez graduated from Emily Carr University of Art + Design with an MFA degree (Vancouver, British Columbia) in 2021. Recent presentations of his work include the New York Latin American Art Triennial (United States) in 2022; SBC galerie d’art contemporain (Montreal) in 2022; The Polygon (Vancouver) in 2021; Libby Leshgold Gallery (Vancouver) in 2021; and Más Arte (Quito) in 2019. In 2021, he was an artist in residence at the Contemporary Art Gallery (Vancouver), and at the Similkameen Studio Residency (Okanagan, British Columbia) organized by the Griffin Arts Projects. In 2017, he was selected for the Premio Brasil-Arte Emergente, an award funded by the Brazilian embassy in Quito for the promotion of emerging artists. He was also the recipient of the 2020 Audain Travel Award. He currently lives and works in Mexico City (Mexico).
