KIBIAN

KIBIAN studied sculpture at Seoul National University (South Korea) and The Slade School of Fine Art in London (England). Alongside her fine art practice, she has worked in diverse fields such as accounting, lodging, baking and the service industry. Her works explore layered narratives of places, drawing inspiration from their history, culture, geography, myths, and oral traditions. Kibian is interested in constructing identity and examining how human knowledge—both tangible and intangible—circulates globally. Over time, this interest has expanded her creative practice into other fields, including theatre, film, disability art, public engagement projects, and performance videos.
