Momoko Kimura
Momoko Kimura is an artist working in Tokyo (Japan). She holds a MFA from Musashino Art University. Her work includes carved wood sculptures, which create hollowed-out silhouettes. They become a manifestation of the thickness of time and light, as the artist attempts to bring the invisible into physical existence through material exploration.
The artist was in cross-residence from April 8 to July 2, 2024, through a collaboration between the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec (CALQ), Tokyo Arts and Spaces (TOKAS) and Centre CLARK.
