This activity with KIBIAN aims to close her cross-residency with the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art (MMCA) in Seoul (South Korea) and the Conseil des arts et lettres du Québec (CALQ). Join us to learn more about the artist’s research during her three-month residency at CLARK!
KIBIAN studied sculpture at Seoul National University (South Korea) and The Slade School of Fine Art in London (England). Her works explore layered narratives of places, drawing inspiration from their history, culture, geography, myths, and oral traditions. KIBIAN is interested in constructing identity and examining how human knowledge—both tangible and intangible—circulates globally. Over time, this interest has expanded her creative practice into other fields, including theatre, film, disability art, public engagement projects, and performance videos.
The studio is accessible via an elevator located inside the building, at 5445 avenue de Gaspé, local 609. The building is equipped with an access ramp located on the side of the building, near the junction of avenue de Gaspé and rue St-Viateur.
