A fundraising exhibition for Centre CLARK

AN ARTISTIC DIRECTION BY NADÈGE GREBMEIER FORGET & FRANCES ADAIR McKENZIE

« Between the alleged colors and visibles, we would find anew the tissue that lines them, sustains them, nourishes them, and which for its part is not a thing, but a possibility, a latency, and a flesh of things. »  - Maurice Merleau-Ponty[Office1]

This online fundraising exhibition brings together the work of 29 artists, each intimately considered and gesturally embellished by Frances Adair McKenzie and Nadège Grebmeier Forget as a shifting form, a hum of unexpected tints and textures softening the split that divides us. House of Heartbreak seeks to reflect on the sensorial dynamics of materiality through a contemplation on absence, sensuality, and the tension of their cohabitation with longing.

In this third edition, Maison Modèle inhabits the virtual by presenting a gallery of images to be viewed as of windows into a landscape of potential and love. We invite you to explore this myriad of talented artists from different generations and practices, including works by CLARK’s active members. As you navigate through this velveteen-fashioned corridor and experience that unmistakable "coup de cœur", you may consider acquiring one or more pieces to embellish your living space IRL (in real life).
