Alexandre Burton

Alexandre Burton is interested in technology as a way to reveal a new, digital-specific sensitivity. His practice is primarily focused on the inter-relationship between sonic, visual and somatic phenomena. His work has been presented as part of international festivals such as Sonar, Ars Electronica, Transmediale and Cervantino. In addition to his involvement with the group artificiel, he has collaborated with other artistic and cultural entities as a technology integration consultant. He was awarded first prize at the Bourges electro-acoustic festival for Cecilia, a sound processing software, and received an honourable mention at Ars Electronica for his sound installation condemned bulbes, as well receiving an award at the FILE festival in Sao Paolo, for his project POWEr.
