The performance programming has as its mandate to support, present and raise the profile of performance art in all its historical, aesthetic and political specificity. It seeks to foster a lasting presence for the discipline within Quebec’s artistic presentation networks. CLARK encourages practices that take risks, interrogate the limits of the medium and contribute to renewing the forms of performance art. The Centre also works to diversify presentation contexts and to multiply opportunities for presentation, ensuring a sustained presence for performance art across a range of spaces and among varied communities.

Programming is determined together with the performance committee, made up of CLARK members and staff, which takes part in identifying and selecting the artists and partners the Centre collaborates with through co-presentations, exchanges and residencies. The committee’s mandate also includes developing curated projects, performance evenings, encounters, talks and spaces for reflection on the issues specific to performance art, its modes of presentation and the needs of its artistic community.
