Fernando Belote

Fernando Belote (FERN) is a multidisciplinary Brazilian queer artist whose practice explores the intersections of performance, ceramics, image-making, and papermaking, with a particular interest in language, meaning, and the ways they are transformed through materials and artistic processes. Their interdisciplinary approach is informed by studies across multiple artistic fields at institutions including Cégep du Vieux Montréal, Concordia University, McGill University, and the University of Lisbon. Their work considers ceramics beyond conventional forms, approaching clay as both a functional material and a medium for interdisciplinary and performative exploration.
