Linda Rae Dornan

Linda Rae Dornan is an interdisciplinary artist creating video, performance, sound and installation art, exploring the body, language, performativity and embodied text about place, memory and being. Attachment to the landscape of the Tantramar region and the Bay of Fundy, the desire to communicate across communities, with respect, and to explore language in its multiple forms repeatedly surface in the work. She has won the Strathbutler Award, the Linda Joy Award, and her work has been supported by the Canada Council for the Arts (CCA), artsnb, the Department of THC of New Brunswick, and the Sheila Hugh McKay Foundation. She has shown/screened her video work and performed in North and South America, China and Europe.
