1:45 p.m. : Workshop — Creation and carving of small objects made with Crown of Thorns joinery (RSVP)
Dom Di Libero is currently researching Crown of Thorns joinery, a folk craft rooted in the early 1900s Tramp Art movement, born from repurposing surplus cigar boxes. Practiced by working-class men, it involved labor-intensive upcycling to create ornate picture frames, keepsake boxes, and devotional objects from hundreds of notched wooden sticks.
