Ernesto Oroza

Ernesto Oroza is a Cuban artist, designer, and researcher known for his work on architectures of necessity and technological disobedience as forms of social response in times of crisis. A graduate of the Instituto Superior de Diseño in Havana (Cuba) and a professor at the École supérieure d’art et design in Saint-Étienne (France), he combines speculative practices, independent publishing, and unconventional approaches to design and architecture. He has received fellowships from the Guggenheim Foundation, the HARPO Foundation, among others, and has exhibited at the MoMA (United States), the Walker Art Center (United  States), LABoral (Spain), and the Musée des beaux-arts de Montréal (MBAM).
