Nancy Belzile

Montreal artist Nancy Belzile, known principally for drawings, took for her project the making of very short Super 8 films using shadow theatre techniques. The films deal with themes of the human condition, which they investigate as a living entity. She will present the results of this recent research as a continual loop, which she will accompany with small drawings bound in chapbook form.

Nancy Belzile holds a BA in Visual Art from UQAM. She has shown her work widely in group exhibitions, notably at the Musée d’art de Mont St-Hilaire and here at Clark with the exhibition Quelqu’un d’Autre

The artist has benefited from the Clark’s residency programme.
