Takuya Takemoto

Takuya Takemoto is a performance artist based in Tokyo, Japan. Starting from the question of how the body and the environment already present in a place coexist—or could coexist, he performs through basic actions such as standing, walking, seeing, and listening, quietly reshaping how we perceive the space. Since 2017, he has performed almost daily, with or without audiences. He will continue this daily practice during his residency at Centre CLARK, Montréal. Anyone who wishes to watch is welcome to do so.
