Homesession (Barcelona, Spain), l’Écart (Rouyn-Noranda, Quebec) and Centre d’art et de diffusion CLARK (Montreal, Quebec) have joined forces to develop a cross-residency program. This program will enable a Catalan artist to stay between Rouyn-Noranda and Montreal for two months (from July 3 to September 3, 2025) and a Quebec artist to stay in Barcelona for one month (from May 1 to 31, 2025).

For its first edition, the artist-run centers l’Écart and CLARK will welcome Barcelona artist Carol Priego.

Through this residency program, the organizations aim to :
– Support interdisciplinarity in the visual arts, innovative practices, experimentation and exploration;
– Support and stimulate artists by providing them with an appropriate context and means for research-creation;
– Promote the exchange of artistic viewpoints and contribute to the sharing of knowledge between the Catalan and Quebec communities;
– Increase the development and artistic influence, notoriety and visibility of artists from Catalonia and Quebec.
