These paintings are long journeys of exploration where gestures and imprints come into conflict. These effects evoke, with ever-increasing frequency, a familiar object or a fragment of a body. The theme emerges. The journey is strewn with disruptions that lead me to forge connections between multiple dissimilarities. As I venture to name them, I begin to make selections. However, a wariness of planning guides my progress. Changes in direction are frequent, and the themes are ever-shifting. Each painting leads me down a different path. So many possible paths.
