In a garden, a bird was pulling an earthworm from the ground. Its shape, appearance, and size were those of a blackbird—but it was a white blackbird. I never saw it again, and years later, I thought I had dreamed it. That is, until I saw a photograph of it in a book. White blackbirds really do exist!

Coating and painting an object, layer upon layer of acrylic paint, so that there is a mutual influence. The paint takes over the form, the grime… in short, the physicality of the object. The object, in turn, diverts the paint from its intrinsic properties. An approach that lies between representation and appropriation. Remember that in every space there are diverse terrains. Every landscape is diverse.
