The Clark Gallery is presenting recent works by Pierre Leclerc and Michel Lamothe from October 1 to 25, 1992. The opening reception will take place on Thursday, October 1, at 7:30 p.m.

Pierre Leclerc creates a hybrid body of work: a fusion of sculpture, architecture, drawing, and installation. By bringing these disciplines into dialogue, he appropriates them without producing a work that can be defined as belonging to any one of them. Rather, his work plays with their respective boundaries—ultimately belonging only to itself: situated between all of them and among all the others. He creates an autonomous visual work, devoid of contextual or narrative connotations. He develops systems of visual associations: rhythms of interpretation and formal sequences that are slowly revealed depending on the duration of the exhibition.
