New Goddesses (Accessories of Connection) is a collaborative project between artists Stephanie Castonguay and Émilie Mouchous.

“Ovolt is the quantum cat in the case still closed …”

In the initial stage, the experience is conceived through the goddess “Ovolt”. It is with a playful and poetic approach that the visitor is invited to experiment, in intimacy or with a small group, the box devoted to our muse. This sound device consists of a modified biofeedback in which the fingers are inserted. Thus, the object binds us to the goddess and becomes a vector of connection through our bodies, which transforms the intensity of its sound frequencies.

The radiophonic narratives that accompanies the project creates the link between the stories of these women who have contributed to our history of electricity and technologies – the goddesses reinvent themselves in a fragmented temporality, allowing us to revisit our spiritual and electrical feminine heritage, to emerge as “new goddesses”.
