A butterfly landed on my shoulder. I watched it out of the corner of my eye, and it began to confide in me. I don’t understand it. I don’t understand it! I threw the butterfly into the fire. And it began to speak. “You killed me before you even looked at me. You don’t trust me. You’re deaf, mute, and blind. You’re afraid.” That’s when I felt ashamed. And I threw myself into the fire to join you.
