This series of collages begins with a purely intuitive exploration of found images.

I have two main sources for my collages: old anatomy books for artists and back issues of Scientific American.

As I work with these images, I realize that my subconscious selects certain photographs and visual associations while rejecting others. Certain themes emerge from my work on the human body: linguistic and gestural communication, sexuality, and bodily functions.
