Post-Strategic Content Eraser is a collaborative project of aural juxtapositions. Assembled entirely from found sounds on Youtube, our collaborative process is the reordering of these curious and disparate cyber objects into a tableau of mood and atmosphere. As each sonic snowflake is slowly dissolved into the agonistic post-strategic soup, landscapes of shivering mountains and space machine mud marches emerge, a monument in ruin to the lonely Morse code broadcasts of a civilization so bored it resorts to slowing down modem noises, cataloging defunct air raid sirens and sizzling street food stalls, programming Pi in cat meows and producing an eroticized eating of flowers.
BIO
Post-Strategic Content Eraser is a project which began in early 2019 following micro-collaborations between its members throughout the years. Our collaboration began as an improvisational layering of ephemeral spaces on the long-running CKUT 90.3FM radio show Cabelli Présente, which emerged from the ashes of Entertainment Through Pain, Canada’s oldest harsh noise radio programme. After years of experimentation, our collaboration mutated away from the milieu of disposable 20th century radiowaves into a more structured and tangible experience to which we each bring our own outlooks. Nick Cabelli is an architecture student, art historian and music biz burnout who is mean to art and good to space. Francesca Tallone is a multi-disciplinary artist and curator whose work is informed by natural and available materials and space and seeks to abstract them. Doyle Saint James works with glitch and archival materials to produce non-narrative documentaries. Christine White is finishing her BFA with a minor in Sociology. She uses art in peculiar ways to intervene on public space and observe social interaction.
