SCULPTURE
04.11–05.05.1996

“With my sculptures, I want to express sensuality, touch, the vital energy that accompanies it, and the profound strength of intimacy. I also explore the idea of encounter and union. My sculptures are massive, carved from laminated pieces of cedar wood and colored with oil patinas. Their forms are rounded and organically inspired, and the surfaces are textured. I wanted to give the whole a primitive character that suggests the origins of life.”
