somewhere within times’ spiral is a sonic landscape rooted in Afro-Caribbean ontology. Through the exploration of oral tradition, and family archives, the memories of elders become vehicles to transport us through time and space. The word; which holds the generative energy of creation itself—acts as a mnemonic device, storyteller and guide; a juxtaposition to the aural quality of the other-worldly. This traversing of between spaces aims to answer: How far does memory travel? How does the act of remembering transform us and our communities?
