From April 26 to May 14, GALERIE CLARK presents recent sculptures by François Bourdeau and an installation by Paul Lacerte
“I began by writing the letter ‘a.’ I thought about the pleasure we used to take in successfully writing ‘beautiful a’s.’ I remembered the effort and discipline required to make those first strokes.” (François Bourdeau, April 1989)
Following “Musée Temporaire” (1985) and “Them” (1986)—exhibitions also held at 1591 Clark—Paul Lacerte presents an installation titled “Documents.”
Through the installation of photographic and sound devices, the artist invites us to engage in a play on the poetics of the machine.
