When the angels return home after having tried in vain to reconcile humans and the gods, they always take the same path. This trail, which the angels walk every evening, is simply called “the Trail of the Angels.” The path is littered with the debris resulting from the discord between the two sides. Now obsolete, forgotten in the chaos of the conflict, these objects of strife are strewn about and left behind by the angels, who are in a hurry to return home. These objects are the images we form of the world, where bliss and bewilderment mingle, the hope of magnificence and the cataclysm of sorrow. One day, guided by chance, I found myself on this singular path. What I saw there was striking. From this fabulous land, I attempt here to paint for you a few memories…
Benoit Bourdeau creates strange and wonderful objects that offer fleeting glimpses of the world’s ever-changing nature. Here, he presents the first pieces in a series of cases within which he sets the enchanting landscapes of an unusual world.
