Self-taught musician and born improviser, Frédéric Lebrasseur finds himself behind the kit and other percussion instruments for a ton of orchestras. Creator of dynamic sonic universes particular to theatre, the world of puppetry, cinema, circus and contemporary dance, his music and performances have circled the globe. He loves new challenges, whether it’s creating music and dramaturgy for a fountain, or directing an improvised port symphony on a boat’s mast to commemorate the 20th anniversary of democracy in Poland.

He presents the work J’ai été élevé par des végétaux live à la radio! (I was raised by plants live on the radio!) created as part of Le Mois Multi 10 in Québec City, at the Café-bistro L’Abraham-Martin, and broadcast live on the airwaves of CKIA 88.3. A solo sound piece on the theme of vegetation, animals, life and death, a drum improvisation with laptop, vegetables and other plants.
