A sense of accumulated information as being elusive and ephemeral (floating, weightless) is sometimes, in this work, literally represented as heaps of “things” or as webs of lines, brush strokes, and dense ambiguous forms. While these fluid constructions suggest a presence of living organisms and living consciousness, they also depict a convoluted natural and cultural landscape. Organic forms dissolve into weightless, potentially functional, contraptions ; heaps of manufactured or quotidian objects become indistinguishable from a “natural” environment and a continual accumulative processing of information.
