Scenario : The plot or outline of dramatic work, an account of projected action. This definition best defines and documents the recent photographs of califonia based artist, Steven De Pinto. ln De Pinto·s work, the photograph is used not as technic, but as a vehicle or tool for viewing. These “combined images”, both found and built, play on a segment of the constructed environments (still in its performance process), forcing both reflection in “function”, which is elusive, and the shared concerns of “technologies”, post industrial debris, and its constant reconditionning scenario of human presence. Presumably, once held in high regard, the view is left to elapse. The implications remain ominous, as do the deadly equipped industrial out posts that scatter the landscapes of the deserts southwest, where De Pinto draws much of his evidence and influence.
