New team members!
It is with great pleasure that CLARK presents the amazing people that joined our team!
Prakash Krishnan (he/him) is an artist-researcher, cultural worker, and MA candidate in Media Studies at Concordia University. His thesis examines the emergence of counter-colonial, community memory archives on social media. His personal and professional interests lie at the intersection of art, media, activism, and community engagement. Prakash is the co-host of Do the Kids Know? a weekly anti-colonial podcast about Canadian media. Since January 2021, he has been CLARK’s cultural mediator and brings an inclusive vision to the centre’s educational activities.
Alexandra Briand-Soucy (she/her) has evolved through the local cultural scene over the past several years, including at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts Foundation, and more recently as the founder of Collection Collection, a personalized consultation service for purchasing art works. A finalist for this year’s Prix Roland-Arpin, Briand-Soucy also holds a MA in Museum Studies from the Université de Montréal, with a specialization in digital philanthropy within the museum sector. When it comes to her interest and sensitivity to fundraising in the art world, her professional experiences speak for themselves. She joined Centre CLARK in August 2021 as Development Coordinator, with the goal of contributing creative fundraising strategies and having a positive impact on the centre’s outreach.
Thomas Bouquin (he/him) has worked as a press photo researcher, independent photographer, and designer. He holds a BFA in Photography from Concordia University, from which he received the Gabor Szilazi Prize. This fall, he will begin his MFA studies at UQAM. His work has been presented at VU, Rencontres internationalss de la photographie in Gaspésie, the Biennale de la photographie de Mulhouse, the Festival Voies Off des Rencontres d’Arles, and the Cleveland Museum of Art. He is also the cofounder of Montréal’s Photobook Club. Since June 2021, he is the manager of Librairie CLARK, with the mandate to completely rejuvenate it.
